I leave the adjusting nut inside the heel block with a through slot for access it. I then drill a 5/16 hole through the transverse brace to allow access with the allen wrench. It's buried in there, but you can get to it. |

Mine is just proud of the heel block and ends about 3/4" south of the nut. |

I have mine just about 1/2 short of the bar. One thing also is that if the nut doesn't line up , bend it to get access on it before you glue the neck |
